Welcome to the world of spider monkeys

These photographs were taken in the jungle reserve, where spider monkeys move through the trees with a freedom that still feels ancient.

spider monkeys in the wild

Neighbors in the canopy above us.

Some days you only hear them. Branches moving, leaves shaking, a sudden call from somewhere above. Other days they come close enough to remind you that the jungle is not empty space around us. It is a shared home.

The spider monkeys were here long before our paths, fences, trucks, and plans. Watching them is a good reminder to move with more respect, more patience, and a little less certainty that this world belongs only to us.

This gallery is a small glimpse into their world, shared from the ground while they keep their old roads through the trees.
