Where Maya families, jungle life, bees, and old knowledge quietly keep their place.

The Maya Hinterland is the jungle region between Puerto Morelos and Leona Vicario, along the Ruta de los Cenotes.
It is a place of Maya families, small villages, forest paths, bees, hidden cenotes, and daily life that still moves close to Mother Nature.
Much of this world remains unseen by visitors. The purpose of this site is not to expose it, but to share it with respect.

The Maya Hinterland Project grew from years of friendship and trust with Maya families in the jungle behind Puerto Morelos.
The work includes support for school trips, donations, honey projects, Melipona bees, photography, storytelling, cultural preservation, and quiet help where it is actually needed.
It is not a tourism project first. It is a way to protect relationships, traditions, and a world that should not be forgotten.
This private visit offers a rare look into the Maya Hinterland through the eyes of people who live and work there.
You may meet local families, learn about Melipona bees, visit simple jungle homes, and experience a way of life that still carries old knowledge quietly.
The visit is small, respectful, and never about turning hidden places into attractions.
Whispers from Mother Nature grew from years of walking, listening, photographing, and living close to the jungle. The book brings together images and reflections from the Maya Hinterland, where Mother Nature, Maya families, bees, and silence still have something to teach.
